White Sands Counseling Center was designed to offer customer service and a more personalized service rather than a one-hour session alone. We offer more support to our clients such as weekly feedback, follow-up on assignments (if the client desires) and tele-therapy. We recognized a growing deficit in the healthcare business. Too often people are pushed through the system without truly feeling heard. This deficit is a disservice to the human factor, the you factor. The Co-Owners, Danette and Joey, decided to bring back certain factors to this specialty. They have each worked in the Healthcare\Medical Service Industries for over 13 years. Danette and Joey created White Sands Counseling with you in mind and they want to make sure that you know you are being heard and valued.
At White Sands Counseling we strongly believe in serving those who serve others. As our population grows, so does the need for counseling services. This means there is a need for more clinicians to stay local. We believe through our Internship program we are allowing more clinicians to stay and serve our growing community. This relationship between professionals is a two-way street. Our Interns bring the latest institutional teachings that expand our current practices and techniques. Danette Dupre, LCSW

Danette is a Licensed Therapist and a Qualified Supervisor. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. She then completed her Master of Social Work Degree from Florida State University. Danette has had multiple Social Work/ Clinical rolls in the past 15 years including LCSW, Therapist, and Program Coordinator for outpatient clinics, private clinics and Independent Living Assisted facilities. Danette overseas the clinical practices, intern education, and patient care. Danette is a kind and spirited individual and the staple of White Sands Counseling.
Joseph Dutra, Certified Life Coach

Joseph is our Business Manager. He is also our first Life Coach! He has over 16 years in the healthcare industry, working in surgery in several roles including a coordinator for a busy Orthopedics/Spine practice. Most recently he has worked on a Davinci Robotics Team. As a robotics technician, he has mentored and taught other technicians, resident doctors new to the robotics program and assisted well versed robotic surgeons. Joseph is also a veteran of our armed forces where he specialized in supply and oversaw large quantities of supplies and finances. While active duty, Joseph was responsible for training hundreds of other soldiers in the Army's supply system. Before the military Joseph was an Assistant Manager at Tuesday Mornings. Joseph is very task and goal oriented and loves to help others in need. He is extremely creative and innovative.
